Krystol Waterstop Grout is a crystalline mortar used internally or externally to create a waterproof barrier at construction joints, pipe penetrations, form tie holes, and control joints. Krystol Waterstop Grout contains reinforcing fibers that improve durability and reduce cracking. Krystol Waterstop Grout mortar is used in conjunction with Krystol Waterstop Treatment as part of the Krystol Joint Waterproofing System.
How it works
Krystol Waterstop Grout mortar contains Krystol technology. When applied to concrete, Krystol reacts with water and non-hydrated cement particles to form millions of needle-shaped crystals. These crystals grow in size and fill the pores and capillaries of the concrete, permanently blocking the passage of water and water-soluble material. Any moisture that enters the concrete during its life will initiate the crystallization process, ensuring permanent waterproof protection. [/ more_toggle]
